Exactly my thoughts. I would think that raising another country's flag over US territory as an act of hostility and defiance could/should be considered an act of war. The protesters are apparently arguing about the outcome of the Mexican American War where the US won the rights to California. However, I believe that historians agree that the land that eventually became California was originally settled by Native Americans that came over from Asia and were then run out by the Spanish. So who should actually be able to lay claim to it? I would think that if they want to mount up an army and try to take it back, more power to them...it certainly would make good TV.

You are absolutely correct! This should be considered an act of war. I have a wonderful American son-in-law and grand daughter of Mexican decent, and I am not worried about political correctness because most Mexicans I know are embarrassed by this behavior. Any legal or illegal immigrants that want to trample on the dignity of our flag can feel free to go south of our border and contribute to building a country they could justify being proud of. If their Mexican flag is so great to them then please, to go live under it in Mexico.

Erasing and rewriting! I know what you mean. Is the U.S. supposed to be the country that any immigrant can feel free to trample all over because it is a "nation of immigrants?" This is insane.
